If you've been diagnosed with Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD), chances are that all you were told to do is lose weight. Knowing what we do about the effectiveness (or lack thereof) of weight loss as a health intervention, we can pretty safely say that that's not super helpful.
Trying to manage NAFLD with a kind, compassionate and weight-inclusive approach can be tricky to navigate on your own, so we've created our Weight Inclusive Guide to NAFLD!
This guide takes a no nonsense approach to health, giving you a range pf realistic and accessible strategies that you can try to help yourself feel a little better.
Alongside the advice around gentle nutrition, we’ve also unpacked the impacts of sleep, rest, and movement on NAFLD, to help you understand the condition through a more holistic and inclusive lens. We’ve dug deep into the literature to bring you the latest recommendations around supplements, stress management and other alternative therapies, giving a broad range of suggestions so everyone can find what works best for them.
Finally, we've done our best to make this guide accessible, weight inclusive, and non-judgemental. Everything we provide is a suggestion for you to pick-and-mix the approach that suits you, your body, and your circumstances, whatever that looks like for you right now.
